Why you keep stalling (and how to shift it)

👀 Something exciting is coming…

If you’ve ever stalled out on a creative project or felt stuck halfway through, I’m putting the finishing touches on something that might be just what you need.

Finish What You Start — Week 1

Why Your Ideas Aren’t the Problem

Hey friend,

Welcome to Finish What You Start — a 4-part email series to help you move your ideas out of your head and into the world.

If you're feeling stuck, scattered, or unsure where to begin, this is for you.

Let’s kick things off with a truth you might need to hear:

The problem isn’t your idea.
The problem is the system you’re trying to work inside.

If you’re anything like me (multi-passionate, overflowing with ideas, maybe neurodivergent), you’ve probably spent a lot of time blaming yourself for not following through.

Let me tell you about a moment that made this crystal clear for me.

For years, I struggled to thrive using traditional productivity tools and systems.

Planners, apps, and color-coded software just didn’t work the way I think. My process is nonlinear and visual. I need to see my ideas spread out in front of me. I have to get them out of my head before I can make sense of anything.

But I kept trying to force myself into “tried and true” methods that weren’t designed for my brain, and I kept stalling out.

Eventually, I gave myself permission to adapt everything.

I stopped trying to brute-force my way through systems that weren’t built for me. And instead, I started designing sustainable practices that felt gentler, clearer, and more creative.

That’s when everything started to shift and momentum started to build.

So let me ask you this:

What if the issue was never your lack of motivation or willpower?
What if the real problem is trying to force your creative process into a system that was never meant for you?

You don’t need a productivity makeover. You need momentum; built one tiny action at a time.

Let me explain.

Most people think the answer to feeling stuck is to do more:
More structure. More strategy. More pressure.

But for creative minds like ours, more often leads to shutdown.

Momentum doesn’t come from overhauling your life. It comes from picking one small, meaningful action, and doing it consistently enough that progress starts to feel natural.

Think of momentum like a creative rhythm.

It’s not about the intensity. It’s about the movement.

Tiny actions, when chosen well, help you:

🧠 Bypass overwhelm

🧠 Build trust with yourself

🧠 And make your way to the finish line — gently.

As a creative, isn't that what we actually want?

✨ Your tiny action for the week:

Ask yourself: What’s the smallest step you can take that still feels meaningful?
Start there. That’s how momentum begins.

More next week, I’ll be busting one of the biggest myths about follow-through and revealing what actually works instead.

Until then, keep it tiny.

Hey, Tiny Action Taker! I’m still buzzing from the very first Hobby Hour I hosted last week! I got the idea a few weeks ago, and instead of overthinking or complicating it, I just went for it—imperfectly. The response was incredible, with several of you joining me live, and let me tell you, that hour flew by. I had a great time creating alongside everyone, and I left feeling full and inspired. I’m already looking forward to doing it again this week! Moments like this remind me why it’s...
